Centrifugal casting sometimes called rotocasting whose casting process is usually performed on a horizontal centrifugal casting machine (vertical machines are also available) which produces centrifugal force to form cylindrical parts. This casting technique is typically used to cast thin-walled cylinders. In centrifugal casting, a permanent mold made from steel, cast iron, or graphite is typically used. Unlike most other casting techniques, centrifugal casting is chiefly used to manufacture rotationally symmetric stock materials in standard sizes for further machining, rather than shaped parts tailored to a particular end-use.
